I tell the veterans I teach SKY Resilience Training to that I have the best job in the world as I get to witness the the shift from despair to hope on the faces of so many veterans when they experience a good night sleep for the first time in years or wake up feeling peaceful in the moment rather than feeling consumed with anxiety or the weight of negative thoughts. So many of the veterans I teach tell me, "I got myself back" - there is nothing in this world more fulfilling than opening the door to a dark room allowing the warm sun to shine through once again.
