'Light a Million Homes' is an on-going campaign inspiring individuals and corporate partners to work with us to bring clean and affordable lighting solutions to un-electrified homes and villages in India and in Nepal.
Impact of our efforts
As per Govt. data dated on January 2017: 4,81,65,369 Households in 5,319 villages to be electrified.
300 million of India's population lack access to electricity.
Village electrification rate currently stands at 96.7 percent
Every year 1.5 million litres of kerosene is burned for lighting, emitting approximately 3.5 million tonnes of carbon dioxide.
Traditional fuel combustion, the primary source of indoor air pollution, causes between 100,000-200,000 deaths per year in India alone.
