IAHV has been working with the vulnerable Yazidi girls and women who have endured unspeakable atrocities. Our trauma relief initiatives have helped bring relief to many of them.

As one of our teachers shared, "They haven't smiled in the last two years. After attending these sessions, they are smiling again." Another teachers shared at the International Womens conference in Bangalore"For 4 years I did not see such beautiful colors because it has been black in my hometown Sinjar. I request you to help me. The @ArtofLiving helped me come out of depression and serve my people."

3500 Yazidi girls and women are still missing who have been captured by ISIS in 2014. Mawahib Shaibani, director of IAHV in Iraq along with her team, who had led the efforts in collecting food & supplies and airdropped during Sinjar crisis. She has since then helped in rescuing several Yazidi girls and young women who had been captured by ISIS. The Art of Living teachers have been working in providing trauma relief and support to the Yazidi girls & women in various camps. Few of them have been trained to become peace ambassadors who in turn are serving in their communities

Please watch this short video as a testimony to their transformation.
